Photographing a day as special as a wedding in a place that is (for us) new is always very inspiring. Martina and Antonio live in Rome, but they wanted to spend their most beautiful day with all their loved ones in their birthplace: Pico, in the province of Frosinone, a town of historical interest located in Lazio with a history dating back to the 11th century.
Martina had decided that Flavio Bandiera would be her wedding photographer years ago, promising to contact us as soon as she decided on a date for the celebration of such an important event. With that said, about a year in advance we received a phone call from Martina and Antonio inviting us to photograph their dream. During the first contacts we discovered the sunny disposition of this wonderful couple, who immediately involved us in the wedding planning with complicity and understanding.
Martina's preparations took place at her family home, a beautiful villa with spectacular views of the surrounding hills. This was followed by the religious ceremony, hosted at the Church of Sant'Antonino Martire in the center of Pico, which was followed by the move to the villa for the reception attended by more than 300 guests. Just on the way to Villa Amorosa di Fumone (FR) the only (minor) mishap that distinguished this almost perfect day occurred: their MK2 Jaguar took its last breath on the highway, forcing the bride and groom to fall back to one of the guests' cars to reach the venue for lunch. Despite the mishap, we can say that Antonio and Martina did not lose their good spirits for a moment!
Dancing, fun, lots of great food with the signature Magni Ricevimenti catering marked a beautiful afternoon, full of smiles and lightheartedness with bride and groom and guests surrounded by the greenery of Villa Amorosa. Small and big surprises punctuated the hours we spent with this unforgettable couple, giving us at the end of the evening a promise that seemed almost nonsensical: the final photographs, when ready, would be personally picked up by Antonio and Martina in our studio in Turin, a city they had never visited. In fact, some time later we received a welcome visit from the boys, who had carved out a few days to explore the city of Turin and to visit us in the photography studio where their photographs were processed. Taking advantage of the occasion, we reciprocated the hospitality they had shown us with a good dinner at a well-known restaurant in our city that we will tell you about soon because its owners will be getting married very soon!
Martina and Antonio's wonderful day was followed by the smiles and availability an experienced collaborator: Debora Di Mascio, who took care of many details related to the organization of a wedding full of expectations from the protagonists.
